2 Corinthians 3

Be Still: Lord Jesus, I come before you today with a thankful heart and ask – would you mould me whichever way you please? Amen

Read: 2 Corinthians 3

'And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.' (v18)

Encounter: There’s an interesting saying: ’You become the average of the five people you spend the most time with.’ It’s backed by research – our habits, mindset, even health choices are shaped by those closest to us. We start to mirror the people we regularly surround ourselves with.

So, my question for you today is: Is Jesus one of your five? Are you getting in the quality time, the hangs, the conversations with Jesus each day? If we truly want to be transformed into his likeness, we need to put in the hours. And that doesn’t just mean to ‘believe’ in him as a distant God figure; it’s about letting him in, up close and personal – Access All Areas style.

We can do this because there’s no longer a divide. The work of Jesus on the Cross means we can now approach our Father with unveiled faces, bringing every part of our lives – the good, the bad, and the ugly – before him. But the incredible access Jesus won for us is wasted if we don’t actually take him up on it.

What’s even more wild is that God wants us to become like him. As we spend time with him, as we study his life, and give him space to speak into our every day – our eating, resting, working, and playing – we allow the Holy Spirit space to shape us. This kind of transformation isn’t about performing; it’s about proximity.

Apply: Are there habits, patterns, or attitudes in your life that don’t reflect Christ? What might change if you invited Jesus into those spaces – honestly and consistently? If becoming like him starts with being with him, where could you start today?

Devote: Thank you, Jesus, that you made a way for us to have access to our heavenly father! Let me never lose sight of the sacrifice you made and the wonder of the Cross.
