Exploring Ordained Leadership Evening

  • 41 Gas Street Birmingham, B1 2JT United Kingdom (map)

We’d love to invite you to an evening exploring with us what it might look like to be an ordained leader in the Church of England. As followers of Jesus we are all called to share His love and make disciples and one of the ways of doing this is through the role of a vicar or clergy person. The route to this is not like a normal job application process but can be seen more as a discernment or journey - and it can take time and exploration to hear God’s calling and to step into it.

It may be you have occasionally wondered whether God might be speaking to you about this - or that you’d just like to hear a bit more about how the role and process works - and you’re really welcome to join us as we hear from some of the Gas Street clergy team.

During this zoom hour we’ll be looking briefly at what the Church of England is, what a vicar does, the process and how we might discern if God is calling us into it - as well as hearing a couple of stories from the team sharing what the journey has looked like for them.

This is an evening to just explore with an opportunity to ask questions and we’d love you to join us - if you’re in any doubt, come!
