Safer Recruitment Process

Thank you for registering for a Gas Street Team. We are so grateful that you are serving with us.

To serve on a team at Gas Street, you need to complete the safer recruitment process, which aligns with the Church of England’s safeguarding policies. This ensures we can keep everyone safe.

Complete the 5-step process below.

You won’t be able to start serving until you complete this process. The quicker you complete the steps, the quicker we can process you. If you’re requesting to serve with Kids, Youth or Vulnerable Adults, we will also need a DBS check and ID verification.

The Process

  • 1. Register for ChurchSuite

(If you haven’t already done so) We need some contact details for you!

  • 2. Read Documents

Read the relevant Role Description for your team so you understand the commitment. Including the Safeguarding Policy & Helpful Information document

  • 3. Fill out our Safer Recruitment Form

We need the following information in line with our Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment policy. It helps keep everyone we work with safe, and it also enables us to support you. We need to get two references from you.

  • 4. Complete Safeguarding Training

After completing the Safer Recruitment form, please begin the Church of England training. This Church of England training ensures that everyone serving on a team has a basic understanding of safeguarding and how to deal with any concerns that may arise.

  • 5. Send us your certificates

Once you have completed the courses, you will be issued two certificates of completion. They sometimes take a few hours to process, so if you don’t see them immediately, please wait and try again later.
