Commit to the Lord whatever you do and he will establish your plans.

As we settle into 2024, many people will use this time to consider their current life situation and what they might want to achieve or plan for this new year. Very often we set health goals such as joining a gym and training three times per week, or maybe it is a financial goal such as saving for a deposit on a house.

I wonder if you have considered a vision for your life? What has God placed on your heart and given you a passion for? What dreams and desires do you have?

Many of us amble through life without really spending some time to THINK and PRAY about our lives and consider a vision. What could my life look like? What do I want my life to look like? What influence do I want to have on those around me?

Henry Ford once said: ‘The hardest thing in the world to do is think, and that is why people do so little of it’.

The next time you reach for your phone to check social media, I urge you to decide to just think about your life. See how long you can do it, without being distracted!

Once you have a vision, it is important to set some goals. In today’s Bible verse we are encouraged to take those goals and ‘Commit them to the Lord…’ then he will establish our plans.

God has placed a vision in all of us and he wants to help us discover it and turn it into reality.

Prayer - Lord, I pray that as I consider the vision for my life, you will guide me and help me establish my plans.
