Strength Of My Heart

Psalm 73:26 (NKJV)
My flesh and my heart fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

I absolutely love this verse. I remember writing this in my journal with the heading ‘Strength of my heart’. I am so thankful that we have a God that gives us strength when we are weak. Yes, at times we may go through seasons where our hearts may feel weak but the beauty of our life with Jesus is that he gives us the strength we need.

At Gas Street church, we sing a song with the lyrics; ‘When I feel like ruins, you see foundations.’ He holds us in our weakness, moments where we are struggling, he holds us and keeps us safe. For me during the time of my journal entry, this was a truth I learnt about Jesus.

I don’t know about you today, but is there an area where you may you be feeling weak? Maybe something has happened where you are being impacted relationally, financially, medically, or it may be affecting your career. Whatever it is, allow me to encourage you by saying God’s hand will forever be over you and your family. He knows you; he sees you and he is for you.

In a season where my heart felt like failing, I remembered that God was my strength and portion forever and that's true for you today: that is the same promise over your life. He is the strength of your heart today.

Prayer: Almighty God, I thank you that you know me and see me. In areas where I may be feeling weak today, I thank you that you are my strength and my portion forever.
