Declaring Hope

‘Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, ‘That’s how many descendants you will have!’
بنابراين، زمانی كه خدا به ابراهيم فرمود كه به او پسری خواهد بخشيد و از نسل او اقوام بسياری بوجود خواهند آمد، ابراهيم به وعدهء خدا ايمان آورد، اگر چه چنين امری عملاً محال بود.
The hope of God does not depend on our environment or circumstances. In fact, when circumstances are good, we do not need hope. Faith is hope in God. God promises to make visible that which we have not seen or received. If we could see it now, we would not need hope or faith. In many situations in my life, when everything was totally dark the Spirit of God came and touched my heart and said, ‘Even in the time of famine I will bless you.’
I remember when I was a victim of unfair redundancy. I had no income; I didn’t know what to do. I applied for 500 jobs but couldn’t find any. In the end I was told I was overqualified for the jobs I applied for. I gave up. My wife and I prayed together. I said, ‘Lord there is no hope, but in you there is hope. There is no job but in you there is a job. There is no vacancy but in you there is a vacancy.’ One day I received a phone call from a company to invite me for interview. I went for interview and realised the company was 100 times bigger than my skills, experience or qualifications.
My wife was praying at home, and I was praying. In the interview God put the word ‘query’ into my mind and I wrote it down. I am an accountant and the word query means disputes in invoices. The finance director asked me what I had written and I began to talk about queries. I started the job two days later and have been there now for three years.
The hope of God is a living hope. It operates when there is no hope. His light operates when there is darkness. His healing operates when there is sickness. If you are going through hardship now and you feel the way is blocked, close the door and put the table of prayer in front.
Prayer- Lord God, In the name of Jesus, your will be done. Take my hand and lead me through the darkness to a new season of your life. I hope in you and your promises. In the mighty name of Jesus.
